About Us

Life in Progress is a coaching and training firm, owned and operated by Ed Hunter, MBA, PCC. Ed has coached hundreds of adults through successful career transition. He has also coached successful executives seeking ways to improve their bottom-line, build more effective teams, and experience better work/life balance. In addition, Life in Progress provides corporate training development and delivery on a variety of topics related to leadership, communications, management skills, customer service and more.

We serve two distinct client groups: individuals and organizations.

Individuals work with us on career choice, job search, career change, career advancement and business-building. We help our clients find fulfilling and rewarding careers as traditional employees or entrepreneurs.

For-profit and not-for-profit organizations retain us to develop and/or deliver workshops, executive coaching, consulting, and outplacement. We have worked with firms in industries such as: pharmaceutical, engineering & construction, higher education, and community development.

Ed Hunter, PCC, Coach & Principal

Ed founded Life in Progress after over thirty years of experience in management and executive roles in business, not-for-profit and higher education organizations. His experience includes over ten years as Vice President of Career Service at a college in Philadelphia. Other industry experience includes educational publishing, geospatial technology and medical malpractice consulting and publishing.

Ed is a Professional Certified Coach, a certification given by the International Coaching Federation to coaches who have completed significant training, mentor coaching with a Master coach, and who have conducted over 750 hours of actual coaching with clients. He is also a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Strong Interest Inventory and the EQi 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessment, as well as other useful testing instruments. Ed has an MBA from St. Joseph’s University and a BA in English, also from St. Joseph’s. He is married to his college sweetheart, and the father of two adult children. In his spare time, Ed enjoys fly fishing or fly tying, a good workout, strong coffee and British humor.

Jen Wulk, Virtual Assistant

Jen Wulk is the fabulous Virtual Assistant who manages to keep things organized and orderly at Life in Progress! She is often the primary contact for clients for matters related to billing and scheduling, but also helps in writing and editing social media and blog posts, client resources and website enhancements.

Prior to becoming a VA, Jen worked as a Career Services Advisor at The Art Institute of Philadelphia, and as a Marketing Administrator in the financial services industry. As a career advisor, Jen developed her skills in all aspects related to the job searching process, from resume writing and interviewing techniques to networking and negotiating.

Jen graduated with a BS in Marketing from West Chester University. She is married and the proud Mom to an amazingly adorable daughter.
